Our 4th, 5th, middle school and high school art students have been working on their colcha embroideries for several months. All of this hard work culminated in a beautiful reception held at the school on Wednesday, December 11, with desserts and refreshments provided through project funding.
This experience would not have been possible without the San Luis Valley Colcha Embroidery Project, with support from Think 360 Equity in Arts Learning Grant. Students worked through two colcha trainings during art class with instructors from the San Luis Valley and have continued to work on their pieces every week since October.
Please enjoy the beautiful work created by our students below, and keep scrolling to see photos from our reception!
